This week’s blog is on the saying “why not?” There’s that deep down concern, sometimes worry, that stops us from doing things we love. Those things that we are drawn to, then at the last minute, we pull out and put it off. Sometimes, we get so bogged down in our everyday life, that the things we truly love pass us by. I put this down to, having too much going on in our head, that we just can’t think straight. Living unconsciously. Day in and day out. If we can clear that clutter in our heads, then the clutter we have around us will slowly disappear and leave room for more positive and helpful thoughts. Therefore, leading to opening us up to better opportunities and lending the idea that we are able to do things we love.
Most of us have a passion, mine is writing things down (as you all know). But, those of you that are feeling like they don’t have a passion, there is hope. Deep, deep down within you, there is a little light, that shines brighter when you are drawn to something. That something may be painting, writing, gardening anything that brings you joy. Some people need to close their eyes and be drawn to something new. It doesn’t have to be something that other people do, it can be absolutely anything that makes that light glow. It could be something you used to do as a child and you’ve forgotten about it. Taking just a few minutes to sit quietly and ask yourself. It might totally surprise you.
If it was swinging on a swing that gave you joy, I say “why not” go and do it. If it was pottery, I say “why not” go and find a class. The simplest of things can bring such happiness to people, and I say “why not” go and do whatever makes you happy. Put those thoughts away that say to you “why are you doing that” or “people are going to judge you”. It’s never really about them anyway, it’s about finding something that’s special to you and that makes you feel amazing.
Let me know when you find your passion. Have fun doing it.
